Psychometric/ Psychological Evaluation
About Course
Psychometric evaluation refers to the process of measuring a person’s relevant strengths and weaknesses. This form of measurement is primarily employed to assess a person’s aptitude, personality factors, level of dysfunction of possible mental illness, cognitive functioning, memory and/or IQ.
Psychometric assessments are often used in relation to a person’s employment suitability, educational purposes, preparation of information for court, Medico-legal reports, admittance into police/defence or regaining a firearm.
In recruitment and job performance, companies use psychometric tests for reasons such as:
- Make data-driven comparisons among candidates
- Making leadership decisions
- Reduce hiring bias and improve workforce diversification
- Identify candidate strengths and weaknesses
- Help complete candidate personas
- Deciding management strategies
